How to fill "Onboarding Excel Table" with data

This page will provide step-by-step instructions on how to fill Onboarding Excel Table for the Smart Healthcare platform. Take note, all columns marked with blue are mandatory in order to properly upload the data to the platform. 


Firstly, download the excel table at the bottom of this article or on this LINK.


Fill the following for each location in the LOCATIONS section:


  • Location Name (mandatory)
    Enter desired location name. 

  • Location Code (mandatory)
    Location Code must be unique for each Location. Please make sure there is not any duplicated after filling all Locator Codes. This code is needed afterward in the LOCATORS tab to properly assign the device to a designated location.

  • Locator Type (mandatory)
    Fill In Use if the location is constantly in use. This type is standard.
    Fill Available if the location is just available but not ready to use.
    Fill In Maintenance if this Locator is not in use or in maintenance. 

  • Surface Area
    Enter your desired Surface Area for this location.

  • Site
    Enter your desired Site for this location.

  • Building
    Enter your desired Building for this location.

  • Wing
    Enter your desired Wing for this location.

  • Zones
    Enter your desired Zone for this location. Take kindly note, this needs to be predefined on the Blyott Portal account under the "Configuration" > "Zones" section.



Fill the following for each locator in the LOCATORS section:



  • Locator Name (mandatory)
    Enter locator name. 

  • MAC (mandatory)
    Enter the MAC ID of the device. Must be unique, with capital letters and without the semi-colons (:). Be sure to enter the correct MAC ID. This can be confirmed locally with your IT team and/or occasionally marked on the device.  

  • Location Code (mandatory)
    Has to be one of the values from the Locations tab > "Location code column"

  • Locator Type (mandatory)
    Fill Mobile if the locator is likely to be moved often.
    Fill Fixed if the locator is not expected to move. This type usually defaults if using the Ethernet connection.
    Fill WiFi if the locator is connected by  WiFi instead of Ethernet. (most common)

  • Hardware Model (mandatory)
    Fill in the hardware model of your device. For example, Blyott Demo Kit has BT-L1 locators. It is written on the bottom of the device. 

  • Locator Serial Number (optional)
    Enter the serial number of the device. 

  • Locator IMSI (optional)
    Enter IMSI.



Fill the following for each user in the USERS section:

  • First Name  

  • Last Name 

  • Username  
    Must be a unique, non-taken username in the system, otherwise, the User will not be imported. 

  • Email  
    Please be sure to add the correct work email, as they will receive an invitation to access which is needed to confirm your email address for successful registration. 

  • User Role 
    Fill Administrator for the user who can administrate the system, make changes, and add other users.
    Fill User for the user who can only access and search for assets on the system.



Fill the following for each asset in the ASSETS section:


  • Asset name (mandatory)
    Specify the name of the equipment you want to add to the platform.

  • Asset Code (mandatory)
    Fill in the asset code. Take kindly note, this code must be a unique value.

  • Permissions (mandatory)
    Fill in the permission/s for this asset. Take kindly note, it needs to be predefined on the Blyott portal account under the "Configuration" > "Access Level" section. If blank, the default is "All users".

  • Tag assigned MAC
    Fill in the MAC address of the assigned Tag. Has to be one of the values from the "Tags" tab > "MAC" column in the excel table.

  • Asset Type
    Fill in the asset type/s. Take kindly note, this needs to be predefined on the Blyott portal account under the" Configuration" > "Asset Types" section.

  • Zones
    Fill in the asset zone/s. Take kindly note, this needs to be predefined on the Blyott portal account under the" Configuration" > "Zones" section.
